Our roving photographer Carolyn Roden has been undercover in 10 Acre Woods at the end of Wood Lane in Stalbridge..."What a beautiful, mixed woodland it is! I love the tall, mature trees on the righthand side as you go in. They have an enormous presence and as we are on the cusp of autumn, leaves were beginning to change colour and some seem to take on an interesting form that looked almost sculptural". - Carolyn Roden

Our roving photographer Carolyn Roden has been back to the Stalbridge Nature Reserve...
"These photos are from the Nature Reserve in Stalbridge. There was a flat, grey sky the day I visited but nature still came up with her surprises. As the year begins to turn to autumn, flowers fade and seeds and berries form. It's the circle of life and brings with it a depth of understanding for the preciousness of life on this planet". - Carolyn Roden
Our roving photographer Carolyn Roden goes on the beaten track to discover another jewel in the Dorset crown...
"Having lived here for 9 months now we are still discovering the secret gems of Dorset and Shillingstone Trailway turned out to be one of them. Travelling between stunning hills and crossed by the River Stour, it was a pure and gentle pleasure, even though we were there on a day when the Railway Cafe and Shop were closed". - Carolyn Roden Our roving photographer Carolyn Roden has been out and about again...this time capturing more photos showing the diversity of flowers in and around Stalbridge.
Caroline Roden has been out and about with her camera at Minterne... "What a peaceful place during the week this is. We had lunch overlooking the lake watching a fox trotting about and the sheep filing along the bank. Beautiful".
Our roving photographer Carolyn Roden has been zooming in to capture some close ups...
"Here are a few more little beauties from around the recreation ground area in Stalbridge. I love to take close-up photos of flowers because it shows us the delicacy and delight in the detail. Each one is a work of art in it's own right". - Carolyn Roden
Our roving photographer Carolyn Roden has been out and about again...this time capturing the variety of flowers found in one small section of Wood Lane in Stalbridge.
"When I went for a walk along Wood Lane, I had no intention of taking any pictures but then I spotted one white flower that I fell in love with and one flower led to another...and another....They were all taken within 50 yards of each other and shows what a wealth of beauty there is around us". - Carolyn Roden
