In our Chi Kung routines, the knees constantly bend and straighten but always slowly and under control. This style of exercise deliberately seeks to flex, twist and extend joints, in order to stimulate the body’s energy. It also looks to control breathing, using the diaphragm and not the upper chest, which can be of great assistance to those with asthma, COPD and other breathing problems. It is no sinecure, but is a great ‘self-help’ benefit to health! |

Have Fun and Get better at Table Tennis !
Table tennis is an inexpensive and sociable sport where skill and co-ordination, rather than physical strength are key. It is a game of brain rather than brawn. It is a sport where girls and boys can compete on an equal footing.
At Stalbridge Table Tennis Club our players have over 20 years of coaching experience between them, including leading the Wiltshire junior county side for several seasons. Members of Stalbridge Club's Yeovil and District League and Cup treble winning side will lead the coaching, ensuring that every participant gets the individual attention they need.
We are so confident that each young person will enjoy their experience that the first session they come to is FREE, and then sessions are only £2 per person thereafter.
Whether you want to aim towards playing competitively or just want some tips to be able to beat your friends/parents, we are confident you will find what you are looking for at Stalbridge.
Parents and guardians are welcome to stay and watch or leave and come back at the end of the session.
Bats and balls will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own bat if you prefer.

The group was formed in 1971 by the late Liz Basset with the intention of mixing the “natives” of Stalbridge with the “foreigners” that had moved into the then NEW estate of Westacres.
It seems to have worked because 44 years later and some years after the death of Liz we are getting stronger.
New faces are always welcome.
We meet for coffee each Friday Morning, in the HALL It is a non-denominational group, and you do not have to be a member in fact we do not have a membership.
The idea is that any one can drop in for Coffee or tea & Biscuits and a natter. Age is no barrier and we do have a number men who congregate on one table, and leave us women to talk amongst ourselves. All very civilised.
Any profit that is made during the year both from our bazaars, cream teas, BBQs and monthly raffles etc. goes to local charities & deserving causes.
