Studland
The Studland beaches ( Knoll, Middle, South and Shell Bay) are dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome all year. Dogs should be on lead at all access point onto the beaches and the car parks to protect wildlife on the adjacent heathland and nature reserve. Between 1 May and 30 September, dogs on the beaches must be on a lead less than 2 metres in length (at other times of the year dogs can be off lead). You can find out about visiting the beaches with your dog on the National Trust website.

Swanage Monkey Beach
Dogs are welcome all year round on Monkey Beach, which is located by the old stone quay, close to the pier.​

West Bexington
Dogs allowed at all times within a restricted area

Worbarrow Bay
Dogs welcome at all times

Avon
No dogs between 1st May - 30th September

Friars Cliff
No dogs between 1st May - 30th September

Highcliffe 
Dogs are not permitted between groynes H8 and H11 from May 1 until September 30.
Dogs must be on a lead on the promenade.

Lyme Regis
No dogs on the area of beach from Cobb Gate Car Park west to the Lifeboat slipway between 1st April - 31st October.
N.B. Dogs are allowed on East Cliff Beach and Monmouth Beach all year round.

Swanage
No dogs between 1st May - 30th September

West Bay
No dogs between 1st May - 1st October within the East Pier to East Cliffs and West Pier to West Cliffs areas

West Bexington
Dogs allowed at all times within a restricted area

Weymouth
No dogs on main beach between 1st May - 30th September.
Dogs permitted all year round within a restricted area

Dogs allowed at Alum Chine, Middle Chine, Fisherman’s Walk and Hengistbury Head between 1 May and 30 Sept. Dogs are not allowed on the beaches from Durley Chine to Fisherman's Walk, Southbourne between 1st May and 30th September.

In Poole dogs are allowed on the beach all year round at Branksome Dene and at the west end of Sandbanks beach.
Dogs are not allowed on the main beaches from 1st May to 30th September, including Sandbanks, Shore Road and Canford Cliffs.
