Stalbridge History & Archive Societies are holding a Jubilee Exhibition in The Hub@Stalbridge from Saturday 28th May to Saturday 11th June, showcasing historical and archive material and photos from Jubilees and Coronations going back to the late 19th Century. Tea and Cake will be available on the opening day from 10am to 4pm. The Exhibition days and opening times featured below will also be posted at The Hub and in The Platinum Jubilee window display at the top of Station Road.

The Gugg in Station Road will be entertaining us all with a special Open Mic night (from 6pm), with some fantastic live performers, delicious pizzas from Bakerman Dan (from 5pm) and a special performance by The Stalbridge Singers of the Platinum Jubilee Anthem.

Stalbridge Garden Society present an 'Open Gardens' Day on Fri 3rd June. A great chance to have a peek at some of the lovely gardens in Stalbridge. Maps to follow the Garden Trail will be available from Dike & Son Supermarket & The Gugg in Station Road.

'The Big Tent Platinum Party' starts at 4pm at Stalbridge Hall off Lower Road. This FREE family event includes Live music, Children’s entertainers, Circus Skills, Games, Face painting and many other activities.

'The Big Tent Platinum Party' presents Live music from 11 piece cover band 'The Ship of Fools' (The Ship of Fools is a popular covers band from Somerset with a Brass section. The band covers multiple genres, these being Pop, Swing, Jazz and Folk.) and singer and guitarist Nick Coleman performing Journey through the decades, with songs from the 50's to the present day.

The Jubilant Jubilee Parade is for everyone! We will set off from Hub in Station Road at 10.30 and parade to St. Mary's Church for the Special Civic Service of Thanksgiving at 11.00am. After the service We will leave the Church around 12.15 pm, and process along Church Hill and the High Street back to the Hub. Fancy dress is welcomed and encouraged! Wear Red, White & Blue or even a Prince or Princess outfit (depending on your age?!) or make something special at our Jubilant Jubilee Parade Workshops (see below). Bring a flag and wave it along the way! It's going to be a special day for Stalbridge- an occasion fit for a Queen.
Workshops for the Jubilant Jubilee Parade
Create costumes to wear in the Jubilant Jubilee parade on Sunday 5th June ‘22. Make masks – Corgis, Lions and Unicorns | Stencil Jubilee t-shirts with joyful words | Make Crowns for All, at workshops to be held in the Community Hall at Stalbridge Hall on Saturday 14th, 21st and 28th May from 10.00am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm. Free! Everyone welcome. Come and meet new friends and have fun. If you have any spare white cotton t-shirts please bring them- we will also have these available. Children need to bring an adult please - and come dressed for painting.

The Big Platinum Picnic will take place in the grounds of Stalbridge Primary School. Bring your own picnic and take part in the traditional children's and adult races.
There will be a Barbecue at this event.
