The Hub@Stalbridge is the main focus point for The Community Library, The Community Information Office and The Town Council. Located just off Station Road, this modern Hub for the community has the benefit of a meeting room, and free access to computers. The Community Office also provides "pay as you go" printing, photocopying and laminating facilities. The meeting rooms can also be booked free for non-profit making groups and charities, or hired by businesses at competitive rates. During October... Bill Batty-Smith will be available on Saturdays 21st and 28th October, for enquiries pertaining to District Council matters. The DCC Councillor, Pauline Batstone will be in the hub on Saturday 21st October from 11.15am The Mindful Café, supporting people with memory problems and their carers, will be open on Monday 2nd October between 10am and 12noon. As well as refreshments and a happy chat with others, there is help with information and advice for individuals and their carers. SCARS, the cancer support group, will meet on Friday 27th October from 2pm. Come along and have a confidential chat if you are feeling worried, scared or alone, if you, or someone close to you, have had a diagnosis of cancer. You will gain friendly support from others facing the same worries when it is most needed. The Age Concern IT wizards are in the hub on alternate Tuesday mornings to give free advice and help with any laptop, computer or IPad problem you may have. There will be a bus survey carried out shortly and it is important that as many bus users as possible complete it. It will be advertised widely in Stalbridge when it is available.
