Somerset Council have announced that some of Landshire Lane will be closed for roadworks on the 18th January. Here is their letter on the subject...
SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT OF SOUTH SOMERSET PARISH OF HENSTRIDGE Temporary Closure of Landshire Lane (East) TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset propose to make an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Landshire Lane (East) from 20m either side of Townsend Railway Bridge over the disused railway for a total distance of 50 metres. This order will enable Balfour Beatty on behalf of Historical Railway Estates to examine the disused structure in this road. The Order becomes effective on 18 January 2018 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 1 day (09.30 - 15.30hrs). While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.
