You wait for 1 Blackmore Vale magazine to come along then 2 arrive at the same time! Yes the Blackmore Vale is back...and its twice the publication it used to be. That's because there are two new versions. One is called 'The Blackmore Vale' and is a digital only magazine and one is called 'The New Blackmore Vale' and is printed and delivered to outlets, although they also have a digital version on their website. Bearing in mind that they both appear to be FREE and funded by advertising, is there room for both over time? As the New Blackmore Vale points out on their front cover they believe there is indeed room for the two to exist as the New Blackmore Vale will have "very different offerings". For now the New Blackmore Vale will be published fortnightly whereas The Blackmore Vale is a monthly issue. The Blackmore Vale was first out of the blocks with subscribers receiving their email on 19th September to view the 66 page digital magazine, run by husband and wife team Courtenay and Laura Hitchcock. The New Blackmore Vale came out on Friday 25th September in its printed 72 page A4 format.
