DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. The Notice comes in to operation on 2 August 2021 and will remain in force for 5 days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 6 August 2021.
This Notice will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.
The effect of this Notice is as follows:
[i] To impose temporary road closure on Gold Street, Jarvis Way, Wood Lane. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
[ii] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Gold Street, Jarvis Way, Wood Lane. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
[iii] To impose temporary 10mph speed limit as indicated by signs on site on, Gold Street, Jarvis Way, Wood Lane.
