Stalbridge is Flagging

Members of Stalbright were out on Thursday evening, putting up the NEW Stalbridge flags, funded by Stalbright Special Events for Stalbridge. 20 of the flags are being flown in the town as a celebration of summer and in the run up to the Stalbright Sunday Funday, taking place at the hub on the 9th July.
This year they have been supplemented in number by Dorset flags and as a phased project Stalbright will be adding more Stalbridge flags each year.
Stalbright hopes that residents will find that they brighten up the town.

Pictured above, the new Stalbridge flag hangs as a pennant, rather than the traditional rectangular flag shape. This shows off more of the design of the flag, which depicts the ancient market cross in Stalbridge High Street.

The design of the Stalbridge Flag is based on an original watercolour painting, pictured above and painted by local Stalbridge artist Tony Wood.
