Stalbridge Patients Participation Group The Stalbridge Patients Participation Group (PPG) is run by patients for patients to support our local Surgery for the benefit of all. Why is this important? The PPG is committed to continuing to improve the health services provided to every patient registered with Stalbridge Surgery. A well organized and effective Patient Group acts as a ‘critical friend’ to: • improve communication between the Surgery and its patients through surveys, newsletters, the Surgery website and word of mouth. • contribute the ‘patient voice’ to the decision making process of the Surgery and the wider NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). • actively promote good health and encourage better self-care. • help the Surgery to run health promotion events and put patients in touch with sources of support. • help the Surgery to provide support for carers. Whether you are an existing member of the PPG or would like to find out more, you are invited to attend the next meeting at The Hub (next to the Library) on Thursday 2nd February, 5.30-6.30pm. For further information or for an informal discussion please contact Keith Harrison by email Keith.Harrison@dorsetccg.nhs.uk or 07825 691508.
