Macrame Workshops are starting up again on 12th January at The Gugg in Stalbridge! Run by Laura Jackson from Summer Lane Collection, "Macrame is a very mindful and relaxing craft once you have mastered the basic knots, and I will be at your side if you get in a tangle! Just to warn you, macrame is very addictive! No experience is necessary for the first two classes, all classes are very friendly and relaxed, all materials are supplied and you’ll be taking your completed macrame home with you and feeling proud!
The classes are held at Guggleton Farm Arts in Stalbridge DT10 2RQ, a great venue which has parking, refreshment and toilet facilities. Week 1 - Macrame Plant Hanger
An introduction to macrame.
Knots covered - spiral knot, square knot and gathering.
No experience necessary.
Cost £20.
Held on Wednesdays 12th January or 2nd February at 11 - 1.30pm, and Thursday 3rd February 6.30 - 9 pm
Week 2 - Macrame Diamond Wall Hanging
Knots covered - larks head, square, barrel and constrictor.
No experience necessary.
Cost £25.
Held on Wednesdays 19th January or 9th February at 11 - 1.30pm, and Thursday 10th February at 6.30 - 9pm
Week 3 - Macrame Wall Hanging Planter
Knots covered - larks head, square, hitch, gathering and constrictor.
Experience - to have confidence in making a macrame square knot.
Cost £25
Held on Wednesdays 26th January or 16 February 11 - 1.30pm and on Thursday 17th February from 6.30 - 9pm.
