Julienne (Julian) and Heidi Else have started their new mini marketplace at their Butchers and delicatessen in Stalbridge High Street. Potatoes, Broccoli, Swede, Cabbage, Leeks, Mushrooms, Onions, Lettuces, Cucumbers, Courgettes....and of course Carrots! In the fruit section you can find Apples, Pears, Grapes, Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Grapefruit, Plums and Tomatoes...and there are probably more hidden in the photo below! So next time you're popping into Else's Butchers for your favourite meat and poultry why not pick up the veg to go with it? Glazed Julienne Carrots
Melt the spread in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat; add sugar, stirring until melted. Add carrots, salt, and pepper and cook for 10 minutes, or until carrots are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in parsley or coriander. Serve with a dollup of quark cooking cheese or Greek Strained Yoghurt and perhaps drizzle with chilli dipping sauce or balsamic glaze. Comments are closed.
