TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT NOTICE, VARIOUS ROADS, STALBRIDGE
DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended.
The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. The Notice comes in to operation between 07:00 until 17:00 on 17th May 2021 and will remain in force for 5 days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21st May 2021.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this Notice is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Various Roads as stated; [i] Jarvis Street from the junction with Station Road to the junction with Lower Road [ii] Gold Street from the junction with A357 High Street to Grove Lane [iii] Wood Lane from the junction with A357 Thornhill Road to the junction with Barrow Hill. Locally signed diversion routes will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.
[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway Various Roads as stated; [i] Jarvis Street from the junction with Station Road to the junction with Lower Road [ii] Gold Street from the junction with A357 High Street to Grove Lane [iii] Wood Lane from the junction with A357 Thornhill Road to the junction with Barrow Hill. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
