On Sunday 3rd April, the Wessex Strut of the Light Aircraft Association is holding its annual fly-in at Henstridge Airfield.
If the weather is favourable, it is expected that around 100 aeroplanes will fly in from all over the country. This is a gathering of enthusiastic aviators who like to meet up to admire each other's aeroplanes and talk aviation! All pilots will have been briefed to try to keep the circuit pattern close to the airfield, but it is quite possible, with the increased numbers of landings and take offs, that there will be a larger than normal noise footprint. Wessex Strut apologises to local villages for this in advance and thanks them for their tolerance and understanding.
