Stone Groove is a band based in Southampton which performs at weddings, parties and events throughout Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and the entire South. They are a six-piece line up (female lead vocals, guitar, two keyboards, bass and drums) but with a unique difference: the keyboard players double on trumpet and trombone.
Drawing on years of experience as professional recording, session and teaching musicians, Stone Groove perform a perfectly balanced mix of disco, funk, soul and pop classics from the likes of Chic, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson alongside the more modern grooves of Daft Punk, Bruno Mars, The Killers and Taylor Swift.

Stalbridge Garden Society produce a newsletter each month. Here is the November edition...
Everyone was welcomed to the meeting Brian gave out any notices, then introduced our November speaker.
This was a second visit to the club by Eric Watson, the talk this evening was entitled “Views from the saddle”.
Eric has a bicycle which he bought in 1981, to cycle to work, where he had spent thirty years in the fire service, it was twenty –one miles to get to work and he cycled every day.
Eric also uses “old Bob” the bike to cycle, around the world, to date his has travelled 40.000 miles on old Bob, and he has another bicycle which he has clocked up around 45.000 miles on, therefore making a total of so far 85.000 miles, this was just unbelievable , but he had the pictures to prove it.
Eric gave us a nice slide show, of his 40.000 miles trip, spanning over several years, he always takes his camera with him, so that he can capture that special shot.
We went on a journey with him from Dorset views to Cornish castles, then onto waterfalls of Wales, weather in Wensleydale, this being show so deep that it reached the top of old Bob.
There were churches, and follies, towers and trees, stained glass windows that shone brightly, bridges and boats, and streams running by.
Cycling up mountain tracks and freewheeling down, reaching the bottom where he found a quaint little town.
Now old Bob had been packed in a bag for travels new, sometimes by boat or in an aeroplane they flew.
The Loire valley, to try some wine, visiting chateaus along the way, Palma peddling through almond blossom country.
Corfu, Albania, Turkey where it was only 53 degrees C, riding to the top of Mount Carmel in the dark, seeing the lights below. Jerusalem, Nazareth, beautiful scenery, and then finishing with the limestone pools which were thought to be 14.000 years old.
This was an amazing journey, with breath-taking photos, and Eric and Old Bob are still going strong today.
We all really enjoyed this very different talk.
Our December meeting is on the 14th, this is a buffet evening with a quiz from Martin Young
Do come and join us, for a nice evening, if you would like to join Stalbridge Garden Society, the membership is only £10 per year.
It is time to make sure all of your spring bulbs are in, put any tender plants into a green house, for protection, the grass may need another cut, before your mower is cleaned and put away .
We meet in the hall at 7.30pm.
