Hot and Cold food and drink can be bought in The Pines Buffet and we have a lovely 'Railway themed' souvenir shop. Come and join in the fun! for more info just click the button below to visit our website It started as "Spotted Stalbridge"...it changed to "Stalbridge Post"...it's now "Stalbridge Community". No matter what it has been called in the past the Stalbridge Facebook Forum lives on! A new facebook page has been created by Steve and Wendy Aucock to take over from Stalbridge Post, which is closing down after 3 and a half years of providing the residents of Stalbridge with an incredibly useful forum for events, gripes, discussions, pleas for help and so much more. Stalbridge Info Community Website would like to pay tribute to the extremely dedicated anonymous admins of Spotted Stalbridge and Stalbridge Post, who spent a considerable amount of their own time every single day monitoring, editing, regulating and promoting events and discussions for the people of Stalbridge. It takes on average 15 hours a week for Stalbridge Info to be maintained and updated, so please acknowledge that it must have taken a lot more than that to administrate Stalbridge Post. I would like to thank them on behalf of Stalbridge Info for unselfishly collaborating with us to keep the people of Stalbridge informed and entertained over the last 3 and a half years on facebook and the internet. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with them. John Fieldhouse (Editor, Stalbridge Info) So please show your appreciation for Stalbridge Post by sending them a message of thanks on the page and then click and follow the new Stalbridge Community facebook page... Making Memories Day on Sunday 30th October at The Trooper Inn, Stourton Caundle, Raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society because we all know someone who has been affected.
What are our Cats and Dogs Really thinking? That is the fascinating subject that Dr John Bradshaw will share with us at 7pm in The Hub@stalbridge in Station Road on Monday 21st November. John Bradshaw has become well-known to pet owners through his books “Cat Sense” and “In Defence of Dogs/Dog Sense” both of which were bestsellers in the USA and in the UK, and have been translated into more than a dozen other languages. His many TV appearances have included six BBC Horizons, including “Woof: A Horizon Guide to Dogs”, “The Secret Life of the Cat” and “Catwatch 2014”, which provided the impetus for his latest book “The Trainable Cat” co-written with Dr Sarah Ellis. The evening will take the usual form—Wine and nibbles will be served in the Library at 6.30pm before we move into the large room in the Hub at about 7pm. The evening is sponsored by the Friends of Stalbridge Library Admission free to the Friends of the Library, and £3 for guests and other members of the public. Tickets available from Stalbridge Library. There are limited places, so early booking is advised.
