Henstridge Village Hall BA8 0QD Details 01963 362107 SITUATIONS VACANT – Meet and Greeters
We have a new Rector at The Church of St Mary in Stalbridge and many new houses, so we wish to build a team to welcome new people to church. Entering church for the first time or after a long break can be daunting, so we are looking for people who will: 1 Meet and greet people outside the church and guide them through the imposing doors into the dark interior (exaggerated but there is an element of truth). 2 Hand out the service books and paperwork, and explain how they are used. 3 Most important - help visitors to a suitable seat. It is intimidating for any visitor, regular churchgoer or not, to look at the rows of pews, and wonder where on earth they should sit. No experience is necessary and full training will be given (rewards will be in heaven!). Please contact the Rector, Churchwardens or Simon Witcomb (07 989 855 582) if you would like more information.
