A couple of roads in Stalbridge will be closed for some "pole testing" on 5th September 2021. They are Caundle Lane from the junction with Eastop Lane to a point approximately 530 metres to the north and from the junction with the top of Park Grove to the junction with Landshire Lane down the Giant Steps route of of Stalbridge. These works are scheduled to start at 09:30am, 5th September 2021 and finish at 15:30 that day.

Starting with a Big Band Night on Saturday 25th September in the Dutch Barns at Guggleton then moving to the Milking Parlour Gallery for the exhibition and talks. The Gallery is open from 11.00am to 3.00pm Tuesday to Saturday. Big Band Night tickets at £5 each (with buffet included) are available for The RBL in Stalbridge and "As the Crow Flies" shop at Guggleton Farm Arts. To commemorate the Centenary of the Royal British Legion Guggleton Farm Arts in Stalbridge is teaming up with Stalbridge Royal British Legion and local 11 piece band, Ship of Fools for a Big Band Night on Saturday 25th September 2021 from 7.00pm to 11.00pm.
The Band play many genres including Rock n roll and Swing and boast a great brass section with a big sound. During the evening there will be a buffet supper and guests are invited to bring their own drinks. Temporary road closures are in place today in Stalbridge to do some surface dressing on Gold Street, Jarvis Way and Wood lane. The council says the following: TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT NOTICE, GOLD STREET, JARVIS WAY, WOOD LANE, STALBRIDGE
DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. The Notice comes in to operation on 2 August 2021 and will remain in force for 5 days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 6 August 2021. This Notice will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works. The effect of this Notice is as follows: [i] To impose temporary road closure on Gold Street, Jarvis Way, Wood Lane. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. [ii] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Gold Street, Jarvis Way, Wood Lane. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. [iii] To impose temporary 10mph speed limit as indicated by signs on site on, Gold Street, Jarvis Way, Wood Lane.
