Stalbridge Men's Shed invites you to join us! If you normally retreat to your own garden shed and make things in total solitude and are happy to do that then great! But if you would like some company while you work on a project, the chance to meet new friends, to share skills, and stories of the past, and anecdotes you've been dying to relate, to laugh, challenge, engage and support your community in the company of like minded men like yourself, then why not join us at The Stalbridge Men's Shed at The Guggleton Farm Project in Station Road in Stalbridge. We are a happy bunch who meet together on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am till 3pm. We collaborate on each others projects, make things for the community, and for individuals who need something made or repaired but don't have the skills or the equipment to do so and so we do that for them and they then make a donation to our club for our help and expertise. We chat, drink tea, eat biscuits, make stuff, sometimes don't make stuff because we're too busy chatting about the past, our job when we were younger, or just having a laugh. Some of us have been carpenters, engineers, welders, electricians, builders, Army, Navy, Airforce, you name it we've got someone who's been there. No matter what your story is, why not come and share it with like minded men....have some fun, make some stuff.....or not! Just come and say hello! There is no obligation to build and make stuff if you don't have the skills, but we have all the knowhow and machinery to teach you if you would like to learn a new DIY skill. It's up to you want you want to get out of The Men's shed- just don't be shy or think we are a tight knit group who won't welcome new people - We wIll ! Come and join us. Just pop in and say hello.
