Ash Wednesday is Tomorrow

The Virginia Ash Pub in Henstridge re-opens Tomorrow... 31st July 2019...at 6pm! Complimentary drinks and a Finger Buffet will be available from 6pm to 8pm to welcome you back to this extremely popular local pub and restaurant. The Virginia Ash 'Classics at The Ash' will also be running on the night from 6.30pm, so why not pop down and make an evening of it tomorrow from 6pm as the Virginia Ash opens its doors...with a new look!

SpireFest 2019

As many of you will know, during August Thyme after Time Cafe in Stalbridge host Spirefest their mini music festival.
This year it is on Saturday, August 10th from 6pm-midnight!

We are fund raising this year for Stalbridge School's outdoor wooden play area which has been condemned. The huge sum of around £11,000 is needed for replacement as none of it can be salvaged, it has been deemed unsafe by inspectors. This leaves the children with no outdoor fun! The play area is not something that is provided through the government's school budget.

As you know we like to fund raise for local needs and Stalbridge School is very much part of this community with many of the Parents, Children and Grandparents all visiting our Café regularly.

This year we have three brilliant local bands coming to play for us including our headline act...

Stone Groove perform a balanced mix of disco, funk, soul, rock and pop classics from the likes of Chic, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson alongside the more modern grooves of Daft Punk, Bruno Mars, The Killers and Jamiroquai. For more information click on the picture above to visit their website

If you're stuck for things to do outdoors with your children over the summer holidays then this info might come heaven sent...
Yeovil Recreation Centre have a Mini Golf course! Just turn up and play at their 9 hole mini golf challenge. A great time outside for all the family. Kids can also let their imaginations run wild at the Flagship Playspace. The free adventure themed playspace was designed with the input of local school children and gives young people the chance to explore a range of exciting equipment including:

Tree house walkways with rope bridges and net tunnels
Shipwreck
Tyre swing
Aerial runway/zipline
Large sand pit
Skull and snake themed tunnel slides
Water feature
