Due to some unfortunate flooding, we've had to close The Virginia Ash pub in Henstridge for a while to sort things out. We will let you know as soon as we have a re-opening date and will keep you informed on this homepage, social media and of course our own blog page on our website. In the meantime we are still hosting Classics at the Ash, every Last Wednesday of the Month during April to September, from 6.30pm in the car park.

With a running time of 7 hours for each episode this one is really only for die hard fans. Episode One starts on Wednesday 12th June, with the series finale on Tuesday 18th June. "Stalbridge Matters", the Annual Town Meeting for Stalbridge takes place on Wednesday 29th May 2019 from 7.30 pm at the Stalbridge Hall. This is a meeting for the Town, in order to allow people to come together and celebrate activities and discuss matters that affect the town. Proposals can be put forward for inclusion on the agenda and voted on at the meeting*. This year there are some changes to the meeting to help local groups and organisations network and promote themselves. There will be an opportunity to display material and information on the following community stands:
Every month the Benefice of Spirehill produces a monthly magazine. In addition to church news (from all the local churches), there is news from local societies in Stalbridge (Women's Institute, the Garden Society and the Community Office).
The monthly benefice magazine is available in each of the parish churches, and in these retail outlets in Stalbridge: Dikes, the Post Office and Stalbridge Pharmacy. The Tennis Club is run by a committee which meets annually for the A.G.M., usually in April, and is open to all members of the public.
The Club is actively recruiting new members and would especially welcome any members who wish to serve on the committee. The tennis season runs for 12 months from May 1st. Notices are placed around the village and on the Tennis Club notice board (adjacent to the courts), advising when subscriptions are due and the cost of annual membership. Upon joining a security key is issued, which unlocks the gate . Members can play at any time, although certain 'On Court' rules apply. The tennis club does not run a booking system.
