Let your children turn Half Term into a right Drama... at Signs Drama and Musical Workshop on Friday 16th February 2018 at Pimperne Village Hall. Run by Jess Ryall from Signs Drama.com this workshop runs from 10.00am to 3.00pm and is geared for children of Primary School age. The day costs £20.  To make a booking for  your child contact Jess on 07584 090 480. email: contact@signsdrama.com. You can visit the website by clicking on the button below.
Signs was founded by Jess Ryall in 2013, after gaining funding support from Sir Paul McCartney & Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

Based in North Dorset, Signs Drama is a company providing workshops, classes and projects for various ages and members of the community.  Jess uses drama and sensory techniques to engage young people and adults in the arts. It is also a great way to captivate children's interest in popular classroom topics, current social issues or simply to have fun! Drama is a fantastic way to increase social skills, confidence and self esteem as well as create a great sense of achievement.

Jess established Signs with a view to set up opportunities for those with and without special needs and disabilities, involving young people in the arts. The use of drama and sensory techniques in the work Signs does means that young people and adults alike can access the content regardless of their abilities.

Jess works to ensure young people gain in confidence, enjoy the ability to learn new skills and develop as a person, performer and professional, as well as have a fun and stimulating time.

Needle felted mouse workshop at Gray's of Stalbridge
WEDNESDAY MARCH 14TH 6.30PM TO 9PM
You will learn how to make a cute little felted mouse using British wools such as Dorset horn, Shetland and Blue-faced Leicester.

The needle felting process is very simple and it doesn’t take long to grow in confidence and really begin to appreciate what a versatile and rewarding pastime it is. Don’t worry if you are not particularly creative as I will bring along examples of the finished article.

Total price of the workshop is £20 and includes step by step tuition, all wool, armature and glass eyes to make your mouse and light refreshments during the evening. Needles and needle holders can be purchased to take home with you if you wish to carry on with your new found skills at home.

Recommended for ages ten and above due to sharp needles.
No previous needle felting experience necessary.

Do you have an old favourite bike that needs bringing back to life? Below are 3 examples of one of our many restoration projects. To get your old but loved bike back to a brand new look contact Ollie Rose at re-CYCLE-d on 01963 365737 or email us at 07713mrose@gmail.com
"From a very young age rebuilding and repairing bicycles has been a hobby of mine, over the years i have seen many mass produced bikes that are really poorly built. This gave me the inspiration that i needed to set up a business offering top quality hand built bicycles at affordable prices, also offering a service where customers can get their favourite bike restored to its former glory (rather than another bike going to landfill), please check our facebook homepage for examples of some of restoration projects. Even if you only require a safety check for your bicycle or just some friendly advice please contact us either through facebook or call 01963365737, email 07713mrose@gmail.com. Many thanks".

ArtsReach Dorset present: Snow White: The Return of Little Things
Thurs 15 February, 3:30pm. Stalbridge Village Hall. 01963 362355. £6, £5 u18s, £20 fam

Far, far away there lies a curiously mechanical kingdom in which everything ticks but nothing laughs. It is ruled by The Queen Who Never Smiles and she is determined to control everyone and everything, even Time itself. Snow White knows what it is like to live in such an unhappy land, and our tale begins when she must flee for her life to escape the Queen's terrible jealousy. Seeking refuge in the mysterious Wild Wood, Snow White discovers she is not the only one who refuses to live in a world without laughter. Under the trees, little steps are being taken to bring about big changes. Angel Heart have been engaging and enriching hearts of all ages with their performances since 2007. They celebrate their tenth anniversary by breathing new life into this timeless fairy tale, with a visually striking Steam Punk style. Suitable 4+

The Puppetorium Pre-Show Workshop (1.15pm)
Inspired by the 'Steam-Punk' look to be found in the show 'Snow White: The Return of Little Things', this accompanying workshop offers a unique chance to join James and Dave in 'The Puppetorium'. Here, marvellously quirky, makeshift (and take-away!) puppets will be created from a variety of found, re-cycled and scrap materials. Everything is provided and safe guidance given. This creatively buzzing workshop is led by two highly skilled makers, with over 60 years experience between them! Places limited. Cost £3. Suitable for ages 7+ Contact each venue for details
