Dorset Youth Association’s reach across the county encompasses over 48 youth clubs and groups spread throughout rural Dorset; a busy Young People’s Advice & Information Centre in Dorchester; targeted work with children, young people and families focussing on health, sport and improved wellbeing; and informs over 300 professionals in the voluntary and community sector.
Dorset Youth Association has been supporting clubs, groups and individuals since 1943 and recently celebrated its 70th Anniversary in the presence of HRH The Earl of Wessex KG GCVO. As the need of young people in Dorset changes, Dorset Youth Association is evolving to meet these needs, through volunteering projects, national and international expeditions, emotional and practical support to remain in or further their education or find work opportunities, promoting equal opportunities and diversity, and providing the support needed to help inspire young people and raise their aspirations.
